Launching exit conditions for drip campaigns and other new updates!

Exit & Entry rules for automation: Entry rules have been added to define when a workflow starts. / Exit rules have also been added to define when a workflow ends.

Activities: -View how many hours you work daily, weekly, monthly, etc. -Export time entries, expense entries, or flat fees from right here! Just click on export, and you can export to CSV, PDF, or XLSX. -Set your own filters, and Lawcus will save your preferences for you. -Set activities list filtered by an attorney to see only your hours. -Total amount is now added at the bottom of the activity dashboard.

Matters: ‘Use template’ option available to assign multiple users to a case with their custom rate.

Settings - Manage Your Organization: Turn off billing for a specific account by selecting the billing status as ‘inactive.’ You will no longer be billed for this account. -Admin can see which users have turned on 2-factor-authentication.

Transaction section under matters now has ‘withdraw’ option available. Contacts: ‘Withdraw’ option also available under Contacts->Transactions.

Invoices: -All columns are now completely sortable so you can now sort by matter or other preferences.

Matter cutom rates and other new updates

Hey Lawcus Community! We have new updates for you! See a list of the new features we added for you!

  • Matter custom rates (multi)- Lawcus now allows an unlimited number of rates to be added under each matter. This is helpful when multiple attorneys are working on a matter, and each attorney has their own rate.
  • Send a bill to multiple contacts- Now, you can send invoices to multiple contacts and add a CC or BCC.
  • Accounts – Lawcus now allows you to have one trust default account and one operating default account in the case of having multiple trusts or operating accounts.
  • Leads - New options added under columns. Your leads dashboard is now able to show who referred the lead and when it was created.
  • Workflows – 'Matter tags' and 'matter stage' fields have been added to workflows.
  • Improvements to Invoices page. Ability to search and download invoices list.
  • Right-click now available in new areas of our website such as matters and tasks, matter task details, and contacts.

Repeatable Related Contact Blocks for Intake Forms

Lawcus is happy to announce that we have released a new feature: Repeatable Related Contact Blocks for Intake Forms!

This further improvement will save you a significant amount of time during the intake form process and assist in staying organized with all related contacts. After selecting “related contact information” under question type, when creating a new intake form, fill in a contact name. Once a name is added, you have the option to make the related contact block repeatable to add more relationships (ex. Child).

Customization is also available to select which fields to display or remove and create your labels.

Introducing Conditional and Skip Logic on Intake Forms

This feature gives you the ability to hide or show certain questions based on a specific answer. You can set up skip logic on a single choice question and indicate which questions/pages should be visible.

  • Contingency Billing: Once the settlement has reached, you can deposit the full amount into your Trust Account. On updating the settlement amount on the matter, and the software will automatically make the percentage calculations for you.
  • Evergreen Retainer: When enabled, this feature notifies you if the matter balance dips below the minimum retainer amount you set on the matter.
  • New Filter Options on Multiple Invoices: This nifty tool will allow you to select billable entries based on Responsible Attorney, Billable Attorney, Contact, Matter or selected date range.
  • Ability to associate practice area with custom field groups: This small but powerful add-on allows linking practice areas to the custom field groups. When you select a practice area on a matter, the system will automatically apply the custom field group on the matter.

  • Flat Fee Billing: Ability to track multiple flat fee services directly on the matter and create invoices that are simple for you and your clients.
  • Trigger due date of a task based on another task: Now you can create tasks with a due date based on another task. For example, if you change the due date of the main task, the system will automatically adjust the due date of all the depending Tasks.
  • Lead Tracking: Ability to track lead source and referrals. Track the estimated value of the fees expected to be earned on the potential matter.
  • Activity Items: Now you can save your everyday activities and apply them to time, a flat fee or expense entry. Selected activity item will set the description and rate on time, a flat fee or expense entry. Your activity items may look like Mileage, Print, etc.
  • LEDES Billing: Now you can enable UTBMS codes for your firm. When entering time and expenses, you will have all UTBMS codes available for use.

Our tight integration with these cloud storages will allow you to drag and drop files from your computer into Lawcus, and they will be synced to your native cloud storage account. You can create and view files/folders just like you do in their app without leaving Lawcus. For each matter, we will create a folder(Matter Number) in your cloud storage account.

  • Folders for Easy Document Management: New Folders feature to help you manage client documents with ease.
  • Conflict Search: Full-text search allows you to search all text fields including custom fields across Lawcus.
  • Dynamic Merge Fields: Now you can to automate document management for the different type of contacts. Suppose you added three witnesses on a matter and you would like to create documents for them. Now on document creation from a template, we will give you the option to select the contact you would want to generate the document.
  • Improved Custom Fields: Ability to edit custom fields and groups, set required/ default and set their order.
  • Improved Notes: Now you can edit notes.

Customize Date Format and Language!

By default, dates are formatted as mm/dd/yyyy. Now you can update this to the standard format used in Europe, Asia, Australia, or even select your custom format.

Go to the settings screen, click on team preferences and select the date format, language & currency.

  • Trust Accounting: Trust Accounting to help you manage your client’s money with ease and get paid. Ability to make payments, record transactions, transfer funds and mater to matter transfers.
  • Matter Timelines: Ability to record and organize phone calls, meetings, facts, and issues on the matters. The user can also filter message stream by the activity types.
  • Flat Rate Matters: The user can select flat rate billing or un-billable option for matters. For flat rate matters system will automatically generate a time entry for the flat fee amount.
  • Default Billing Rates: Ability to set default rates for users and matters. Allows users to switch rates on time entries.
  • Time Rounding: Enabling time rounding will allow you to configure the rounding increments for time entries.
