Feature Release: February 2024

After the most exciting kickstart to 2024 with Nova AI, we have developed enhancements to enhance your productivity in the cloud. From streamlining workflow and data security to empowering users with greater flexibility and control, Lawcus remains committed to driving efficiency and success in legal practice management.

Multiple Bill Recipients

With this functionality, you can now effortlessly share bills with multiple contacts without the hassle of manually entering each recipient every time. When editing or creating matters, you can add multiple recipients, making it a breeze to share invoices in bulk or individually. Say goodbye to tedious manual entry and hello to efficiency.

For instance, if you want to send an invoice to both spouses on a particular matter, all you have to do is add them as related contacts on the matter. This enhancement simplifies the process when you manage matters for multiple clients and need to send invoices to them.

Improved Xero Integration

Lawcus has developed new enhancements to its Xero integration! Now, you can seamlessly manage tax, discounts, and credit notes directly from your Lawcus invoices, all effortlessly mapped to your Xero account. With this update, you can streamline your accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency every step of the way. Say goodbye to manual data entry and reduce the risk of errors.

New Aggregation Option on Invoices

Our improved invoice aggregation summarizes all your actions on a single line item. Not just that, we know how important it is for legal bills to be straightforward. That’s why the last page of the invoice has a thorough list of all the things that were done.

This summarised view gives you a quick look at the services you’ve provided, which makes it easier for clients to understand and speeds up the billing process. For full transparency into the services offered, clients can look into all details of the bills, like task descriptions, time spent, and rates used.

Our improved invoice aggregation improves the billing process for you and your customers by combining summary and detail. Legal teams can make bills more quickly and easily, which frees up time that can be used to help clients.

Save And Duplicate Activity Entries

This enhancement is all about saving your valuable time and effort. When creating a new activity in Lawcus, you now have the option to save and duplicate the entries. For instance, if you frequently create similar activity entries in a matter, you can duplicate a new entry that you create, make any necessary adjustments, and save it as a new entry. Ensuring consistency and saving valuable moments for what truly matters. It’s a small change that can make a big difference in streamlining your workflow and ensuring consistency across your activities.

New Permissions On Finance information

Security is paramount when it comes to sensitive financial information. With this new feature, Lawcus gives you greater control over your financial data. You can now grant permission to users in your firm to access the financial information of a matter or lead. This means that only users who have been given permission can see the financial info section on a particular matter or lead, ensuring that only approved user roles have access to sensitive financial data. This feature enhances data security and compliance with privacy regulations by providing a granular level of control over who can view and modify financial data.

Show Remaining Trust Balance

Managing trust funds is a critical aspect of legal practice; Lawcus makes tracking and monitoring trust balances even easier by providing real-time visibility into each client’s remaining trust funds.

You can now choose to show the remaining trust balances on invoices to ensure that your clients are well informed about their trust accounts. Head over to bill settings and choose the option to show the trust account in balance calculations on invoices. Lawcus will automatically calculate your remaining trust balance after deducting the outstanding amount from your trust account.

With this feature, customization meets control. Lawcus now allows you to disable primary and secondary taxes per line item. Say goodbye to the hassle of manually adjusting taxes for individual line items. Our intuitive interface makes it simple to disable primary and secondary taxes directly within the invoices section with just one click, saving you time and minimizing errors.

Two New Client Name Formats:

Lawcus has introduced two new client name formats: ‘Last Name’ ‘First Name,’ ‘Middle Name’ and ‘Last Name,’ ‘First Name’. You can now choose your preferred name format from the organization preferences in the firm settings. When it comes to writing names in legal documents, it is also important to be consistent. Many jurisdictions have specific rules and regulations regarding how names must be written in legal documents. We now have variations to suit all types of legal businesses to ease this hassle.
