As we approach the beginning of the third quarter, we are thrilled to announce the latest monthly features added to Lawcus, designed to enhance your experience and streamline your legal practice. From seamless email logging to flexible billing settings, our feature line-ups ensure no tables are left unturned. Here’s all we have curated for you this month to improve your productivity in the cloud:
We’re delighted to introduce new capabilities to our Outlook add-in, making it even easier to integrate all your matter-related communications into Lawcus seamlessly. Here’s an in-depth look at the latest enhancements:
When you integrate your Outlook account with Lawcus, you gain access to a handy drop-down menu located next to the Lawcus logo. This menu is designed to streamline your workflow by allowing you to set up templates for your time entry logs. Here’s how it works:
Once logged, these emails are readily accessible in the matter info section within Lawcus. This centralization of information ensures that all relevant communications are easy to find and reference. To keep you organized, all emails logged into Lawcus will be automatically tagged in Outlook with the category “logged to Lawcus”, providing clear visibility and easy tracking.
In addition to email logging, users can now effortlessly add time entry while logging emails into Lawcus directly from Outlook. This feature simplifies capturing billable time, empowering users to manage their workload and track their time efficiently. You can add these time entries by setting up default templates in the integration settings in the drop-down menu or directly by logging an email.
These enhancements streamline your workflow, boost your productivity, and ensure that all matter-related communications are seamlessly integrated into Lawcus. Get started with the Outlook Add-in today!
Enhancements to the Outstanding Invoices feature in Lawcus are designed to improve your invoicing and make managing outstanding payments more intuitive.
For all new invoices created without a custom invoice template, the Outstanding Invoices list will now default to displaying by matter. This change makes it easier to track and manage invoices related to specific cases, providing clearer visibility into outstanding payments.
Note: Invoices created before the launch of this update without a custom invoice template will continue to be displayed by client. This ensures a seamless transition and preserves the organization of your historical data.
For any new custom invoice templates, the default view will also be set to display by matter. This consistent approach helps streamline your billing processes and ensures that all new invoices are categorized effectively.
Managing client trust balance is crucial for maintaining transparency and accountability in your practice. To enhance this process, we have introduced a new “Matter Responsible Attorney” column in the Client Trust Balance Report. This addition allows you to quickly identify the attorney responsible for each matter, ensuring you have a clear and organized view of trust balances across your firm.
We have added dedicated Billable and Non Billable entry columns in the activities section. This ensure you get an easy and precise overview of your time entries and ensuring accurate billing.
With the new dedicated columns in Lawcus, you can track your billable hours more accurately by segregating them from non-billable activities. This feature helps improve your productivity by identifying and minimizing non-billable tasks.
Additionally, it also simplifies the invoicing process by clearly indicating which time entries should be billed to clients, ensuring that your clients are only billed for the time spent on billable activities, thus reducing disputes and improving transparency.
