Major Enhancements
- Internal Invoice Notes: Invoices now support internal notes that are visible only to firm users. These notes can be used to record write-offs, discounts, billing instructions, and items that need review, and each note shows who added it and when.
- Firm-Level Control for Hard & Soft Costs: Firms can also control whether Hard and Soft cost activity types are used for expenses. When enabled, Hard/Soft fields appear on expense forms, grids, invoices, workflows, and reports. When disabled, these fields are hidden and only standard expense fields are shown.
- Appointment Scheduler Now Identifies Client vs. Firm Bookings: The appointment scheduler now identifies whether an appointment was booked by a firm user or by a client or guest. This helps workflows and notifications trigger correctly based on who created the booking.
- Practice Area Now Available as a Template Merge Field: Practice Area is now available as a merge field in both document templates and email templates. This automatically includes matter details in generated documents and emails.
- Improved Duplicate Check Popups: Contact and matter duplicate-check dialogs are now clearer, cleaner, and easier to understand.
- Smoother Loading Experience on Contacts & Matters: You’ll now see a proper loading indicator while data loads. “No Data” appears only when there is truly no information.
- New “Is Active” Filter in Key Reports:The Attorney Revenue Report and Aged Accounts Receivable report now include an “Is Active” filter. This allows reports to be filtered by active and inactive users.
Bug Fixes
- Workflow History Loading Issue: Resolved an issue where a specific workflow’s history was not loading and showed a network error.
- Cloned Matters Showing as Deleted: Cloned matters now load correctly and remain immediately usable when adding: Time entries, Expenses, Flat fees, and Invoices. No refresh required.
- Activity Category Not Filling Rates in Time Entries: Selecting an Activity Category now correctly fills in the rate and description when creating a time entry from a Matter or Lead.
- Report Layouts With Long User Names: Reports now gracefully handle long names without breaking alignment.
- 1-Day Event Reminders Now Working: Event reminders set to “1 day before” now send reliably.
- Invoice Note Merge Fields Fixed: Merge fields placed inside invoice notes now populate correctly.
- Outlook Add-In Fixes: Time quantity formatting fixed. Billable/Non-Billable checkbox restored to time entry template
