This release includes 14 important bug fixes across invoicing, scheduling, sorting, and plugins, and 11 key enhancements focused on improving the UI, search, reporting, and plugin performance.
Bug Fixes
-
Invoices & Billing: Issues with expense and activity type display during invoice creation are fixed. Flat-rate values now show correctly when converting leads to matters. Activities are now grouped correctly by billing type.
-
Appointments & Scheduling: Appointment and workflow emails now show the correct local time instead of UTC. Events created from the monthly calendar no longer default to all-day events.
-
Leads & Matters: Unsaved category edits no longer carry over to new forms. The “Not Hired Reason” now appears correctly when a lead is marked as not hired. Sorting by created date and created by now works in the leads list.
-
User Interface & System Behavior: Inactive users are now excluded from timekeeper and user picklists. Responsible attorney merge tags now work correctly in shared email templates. The menu bar now collapses automatically after a theme change. Phone logs now enable the Create button only after required fields are filled and clearly mark mandatory fields.
Other Enhancements
- Search & Navigation: Global search has been enhanced to look across multiple phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses for both contacts and matters, making it easier to find records quickly. Additional search improvements are planned in upcoming releases.
- Notes & Collaboration: Lead notes now work more like matter notes, allowing users to pin or star important items, view pinned content in the right-side panel, and experience smoother hover interactions across notes, meetings, facts, and issues.
- Data & Reporting: Reports now display the names of inactive users instead of showing “N/A,” improving historical data accuracy. Firms can also freely update user job titles, as previous licensing restrictions on job title management have been removed.
- Integrations & Plugins: The Google and Outlook plugins now support entering time in hours format, matching the main Lawcus experience. The Gmail plugin has also been upgraded for better stability, compatibility, and overall performance.
- AI & Platform Improvements: Lawcus has been upgraded to use Claude Sonnet 4.5 instead of Claude 3.5 Sonnet v2, delivering better performance, improved accuracy, and stronger AI capabilities across AI-powered features.
- Other Improvements: Completed intake forms now open directly from matter activities without showing intermediate confirmation pages, and phone numbers across grids are now formatted in a more readable way, such as +1 415 555 0987, improving clarity and usability.
